USADF currently provide close to $300,000 per year in aid, in the form of medical books and journals, computers, printers and other external devices, laboratory and diagnostic equipment, hospital furniture, surgical instruments and linens, surgical disinfectant and antiseptics to African governmental and non-governmental institutions. Medical libraries in 9 African universities and teaching hospitals (Nigeria, South Africa, Gambia, Zambia, Malawi, Ghana, and Cameroon) and recently in Iraq have been upgraded since 1998. In Nigeria, UniMaid, ABU, UniJos, ATBU, Model Secondary Schools, Jigawa & Kogi State Health & Educational institutions have received millions of USD in aid since 1998. In the US and especially in North Carolina, libraries at North Carolina Central University, A & T University, St Augustine College, North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have all benefited from our books donation program (see attached letters of appreciation from all the beneficiaries).
